About Logan Electronics Limited

Established in 1980 as a sub-contract supplier of miniature coil windings to a major data recording head manufacturer, Logan Electronics has expanded to take in work on cable harnesses, chassis wiring and PCB assembly.

Our highly skilled and well trained workforce is led by a dedicated management team, who have between them over thirty years' experience in the sub-contract electronics industry. We offer a reliable sub-contracting service to companies of all sizes.

All our work is done to customer designs and specifications and we are seen, by our customers, as a flexible, cost-effective extension to their own production lines supplying Just-in-Time components precisely as required.

Our Capability

We work on large or small quantity batches with a specialization in complex assemblies where the quantities do not allow for cost effective tooling for automation.

We have facilities for winding miniature coils using bobbins, stacks or formers, free standing chokes and transmitter coils are formed from ECW and TCW. Our harness making section has proven capability in supplying all types of looms of various complexities and can offer machine or hand crimping using terminals from Molex, Berg, Takbro, JST, Pressac, AMP and CTT. IDC cable form assemblies are produced in a range of sizes and configurations. We have static protected soldering and assembly facilities for hand soldering printed circuit boards. Wire cut and strip machinery from Komax is used for wires between 12 and 30 awg, and air operated cut-to-length machinery for ribbon cable, thick copper cable and rubber and PVC sleeving. We have qualified as a ship-to-stock supplier to a number of our Customers.
